It’s no secret these are challenging times. You may be facing the aftermath of a personal injury, dealing with how your kids or grandchildren will continue their educations safely, or dealing with a lack of work right now. We know these are not easy days.
In other August times that seem so long ago now, summer fun was at its peak and memories were being wonderfully made every day of the month. We looked forward to the warm sands and the cooling waters of some crowded beach, maybe Old Lyme or Sound View, Misquamicut or the white sands of Ocean Beach.
Once upon another time, I was almost killed in a car crash. I will never call my experience an “accident”. Another driver decided to drive too fast for the weather conditions on a rainy, wet afternoon. As a result of that decision, his large truck slid from his oncoming lane, into my car and almost killed me.
The summer months have always been a special time for families. Memories from past road trips, backyard barbecues and reunions fill photo albums. Yet this July, it’s more difficult for us all to spend quality time together.
Summer is right around the corner! A time for happy experiences and making memories, we all look forward to the summer season. Yet the warm temperatures, bright sunshine and lazy beach days come with certain dangers, particularly on our roadways.
