More details concerning Frank Maratta’s 55th Annual Auto & Cycle Show – The Show of Dreams continue to emerge. Some of the attractions have been announced, and those interested have the option of entering their vehicles into the show. Sponsors have further been announced, and for 2014, Trantolo & Trantolo is part of a list that also includes Town Fair Tires and Monster Energy.
Now in its 55th year, Frank Maratta’s show features classic and restored cars on display. For 2014, expect a wide variety of custom and “dream” cars, hot rods and trucks, and imports. In addition to the auto show and Race-A-Rama, reality television stars have shown up in the past, and previous events have included Meet the Drivers Autograph Sessions and live tapings.
As the event is known to attract tens of thousands of visitors spanning a wide demographic between casual enthusiasts to those who fix custom and classic cars for a living, the auto show is held at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA at the Better Living Center on March 1st and 2nd. Hours last from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on March 1, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 2.
Aside from simply attending, participants have the option of entering their vehicles into the show for a main cash prize of $1,500, as well as other smaller prizes. The application is currently online and can be filled out here.
Along with the contest, you can catch Follow a Dream with Jay Blake, the only fully-blind race car crew chief in competitive auto racing. He and his Dream Team take apart and then put back together a Top Funny Car.
To attend, tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children age 8 to 12. Children under 7 go in free.
