A Hartford tradition begins November 23, with Trantolo & Trantolo as the Presenting Sponsor. Our law firm is proud to sponsor and volunteer at the Holiday Light Fantasia again, especially after a successful year in 2012.
The two-mile light display drew 90,000 visitors last year, and for this year, more are expected to drive through. The event begins this weekend and lasts through January 6, 2014. From Sunday through Thursday, the park is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday, hours extend to 10 p.m.
This affordable family activity draws people from all over New England, while raising thousands of dollars for the Channel 3 Kids Camp. 1 million lights display the holiday spirit, capturing scenes from Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, and Three Kings Day and including familiar characters. 200 displays in total cover the park.
Find out all information about the event here.
Proceeds from the Holiday Light Fantasia go toward the Channel 3 Kids Camp, which sees 4,000 children ages 6 to 16 from all over New England yearly. With its location in Andover, the camp allows children to have an enriching experience without financial restrictions.
The camp sticks with a traditional format, including overnight and day programs, and further offers after school activities. Although the programs provide an opportunity for summer learning, the camp itself ultimately strives to help its participants lead successful lives beyond. As a result, activities incorporate leadership, diversity, and integrity goals.
The program intends to expand next year, with facilities for the Camp for All Kids in 2014.
