Come join Trantolo & Trantolo this weekend for the 19th Annual Connecticut Miracle Ride. We’ll be the Presenting Sponsor for this event – one of the largest charity motorcycle rides in Southern New England – on April 27.
For 2014, this police-escorted ride begins in Hartford’s Bushnell Park and then proceeds onto Sun Valley Resort in Stafford Springs. There, riders, passengers, and participants will receive a barbecue lunch and hear music from the Savage Brothers.
This year’s event is dedicated to Nicolas “Nico” Filippa. After an accident tragically took his life at 11 years of age, his parents donated his organs and are now paying it forward to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where their son received care.
Critical care physicians in this unit provide 24-hour treatment to children who are critically ill, suffering life-threatening complications from chronic illness or organ failure, or medically unstable. Donations from events like the 2014 Miracle Ride contribute to ensuring the hospital has the most advanced equipment and technologies.
To donate to this cause, you can participate in the ride this Sunday or contribute through Friends Asking Friends.
Those looking to participate can either register in advance or be at Bushnell Park at 9 a.m. on Sunday. All riders must be registered by 11:15 a.m. on April 27 to participate. It’s a $35 fee for single riders and $55 for a rider with a passenger.
All participants must line up by 11:30 a.m., and after instructions, all will then ride from Hartford at noon through the back roads of the state, including by Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The ride ends in Stafford by 1 p.m., where everyone will be treated to lunch and live music.
As avid motorcycle riders, Trantolo & Trantolo regularly sponsors the Miracle Ride and other similar charity events. Join us this weekend to not only ride but contribute to a good cause.
