On July 8, Trantolo & Trantolo and Channel 3’s Kevin Hogan are leading hundreds of motorcyclists through the roads of central Connecticut for the Channel 3 Kids Camp Benefit Ride. All participating motorcyclists are coming out in support of the Channel 3 Kids Camp, a program serving 4,000 children from all counties in Connecticut this summer.
Weather for tomorrow’s event is expected to be beautiful, and will make the ride a fun occasion for all. With Trantolo & Trantolo sponsoring, the Channel 3 Kids Camp Benefit Ride begins with 9:30 a.m. registration at TSI Harley-Davidson in Ellington. Breakfast will be available to participants at this time. By noon, Grand Marshal Kevin Hogan leads the ride on a 40-mile journey, ending at the Sun Valley Resort in Stafford Springs.
The after party features more food, including barbecue provided by Bozzuto’s, live music and entertainment, and prizes. Early birds who pre-registered before Friday, July 6, are entered into a contest for a $1,000 gift certificate to TSI Harley-Davidson. Other prizes include a gas grill, motorcycle gear, gift certificates, and memorabilia.
2012 offers new and unique features for the ride. For the 10th anniversary of the event, a new menu was created. For celebrating the occasion with barbecue, new items include slow cooked BBQ chicken, peppers, onions, and sausage, baked beans, made-from-scratch macaroni and potato salad, fresh garden salad, as well as other dishes. Sickline Carving will feature works of Chainsaw Artist Adam Mulholland, who will give a live demonstration. Attendees also have the chance to win an original piece, which will be created that afternoon. Additionally, more vendors will offer a greater variety of clothing, accessories, jewelry, bike accessories, and other items.
Registration is $30 per bike or couple, with an additional $5 for riders interested in the meet and greet breakfast registration or $10 for non-riders. For questions about the Ride, please contact Norm LeBlanc of Trantolo & Trantolo at 860.522.9248.
