It organizes and leads hundreds of motorcycle rides the 1st Annual MDA Ride is another example of their leadership, as they initiated the idea for this Ride, and helped provide the organization and leadership to make it happen.
This awesome fund-raising event will headline the Charlie Daniels Band, known for classic performances like “Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “Long Haired Country Boy.” The Charley Daniels Band is a unique blend of Western and Southern musical influences. Daniels, the son of a lumberjack and a Southerner by birth, is a unique blend of country, western, blues and rock music. He was raised on a musical diet that included Pentecostal, rhythm and blues and Southern Rock. Charley Daniels is a multi-award winning performer and credits, among others, Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley, as influences on his 50 year career. This southern rock legend will provide an unforgettable musical experience and great fun time, to help raise vital funds supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Connecticut in its battle against neuromuscular disease in our community.
This First Annual M.D.A. Motorcycle Benefit Ride & Concert will kick off with registration, music, breakfast, shopping and entertainment, beginning at TSI Harley-Davidson in Ellington, Connecticut (398 Somers Road) from 9:00AM – 11:30PM, ride departs at 12:00PM. Riders can also choose to register from 9:00AM to 10:30AM and depart at 11:00AM from Brother’s Harley Davidson in Branford, Connecticut (557 West Main Street), the events newest satellite location in 2015. The fully escorted ride meanders through scenic Connecticut and ends at Sun Valley Beach Resort in Stafford Springs, Connecticut (51 Old Springfield Road). The event will continue with a down-home outdoor barbeque, raffles, prize drawing, and vendors. It will include performances featuring the Arizona Maid Band and then of course, the headliner Charlie Daniels Band. This MDA Benefit Ride & Concert is one of the most highly anticipated events of the Summer, and Trantolo & Trantolo is asking everyone to join in this great time.
This ride is a unique opportunity for the community to come together in support of the MDA Connecticut Chapter. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is world’s leading nonprofit health agency is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases, and the Trantolo and Trantolo Law Firm, TSI Harley-Davidson, and the Title Sponsor, Superior Energy, and other business sponsors, are all very proud to be involved.
Motorcyclists can now register to ride and fans can purchase general admission concert tickets at http://www.mdaridect.com/ride TSI Harley-Davidson in Ellington, Brother’s Harley-Davidson in Branford, Sun Valley Resort in Stafford Springs, and Sheldon’s Harley-Davidson in Auburn, Massachusetts.
Advance tickets are $40 per person or $50 a couple – whether you ride or just attend the concert. Supporters who pre-purchase tickets will be entered to win a $1000 gift certificate to TSI Harley Davidson.
NOT RIDING, DO YOU HAVE A CONCERT ONLY TICKET?
- If you are a concert only ticket holder do not go to TSI Harley Davidson, vehicles are not permitted on the ride – your admission ticket will be at Sun Valley Resort Box Office only.
- We encourage those who are attending the concert only to arrive prior to 12:30pm (motorcycles ride arrival is estimated for 12:00pm)
- In the event vehicle parking is filled at Sun Valley, a shuttle service will be offered.
Participants can also seek pledges, earning one event ticket for every $100 raised through soliciting donations
