On Sunday, April 10 Trantolo & Trantolo were proud to be a presenting sponsor for the “Fishing for a Harley” event to benefit the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut. The event was also sponsored by Cabella’s, Sun Valley Resort, and TSI-Harley Davidson, who donated an awesome 2016 Dyna Fat Bob motorcycle as the winning prize. We had an awesome day fishing at Sun Valley Resort in Stafford Springs.

Despite the cold weather, we had a great group of people come out to support a former client of ours, Paul Duquette, who was blinded in a motorcycle crash. He and his wonderful wife Cheri are an inspiration to all of us and we are so proud to have helped them raise money for such an amazing organization. Vincent Trantolo and his wife Kathleen joined members of our firm, some of the Trantolo Girls and many other local folks who had a fun time “fishing for a Harley.” Although no one caught the prize-winning fish, it was a great day.

There are about 65,300 people in our state who have vision disabilities. Paul’s blindness was the result of a poor decision made by a distracted driver. The Connecticut Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind works every day to bring awareness to this issue and to encourage those who have lost their sight to never give up on their dreams.
