Channel 3 kids camp trantoloTrantolo & Trantolo continues our tradition of sponsoring and participating in the Annual Channel 3 Kids Camp Benefit Ride, now in its sixth year.

Scheduled for Sunday, July 13, the event features a combination of a motorcycle ride through central Connecticut’s scenic roads, delicious barbecue, and live music.

Event day registration and a pre-ride party begin at 10 a.m. and last to 12:30 p.m. Held at TSI Harley-Davidson in Ellington, registration gives you the opportunity to purchase tickets for the ride, get breakfast and coffee, hear live music, see the prizes, and to meet various Channel 3 personalities. If you just plan to ride and have the barbecue lunch, tickets are $5 for riders and $10 for non-registered event participants.

The ride begins at 1 p.m. and departs from TSI Harley-Davidson to eventually finish at the Sun Valley Beach Resort in Stafford Springs. For 2014, many participants from Connecticut and New England are expected to ride – with motorcyclists predicted to stretch for miles!

Participants are treated to a lunch of barbecue chicken, peppers/onion/sausage, homemade potato and pasta salads, and garden salad at Sun Valley. While riders dine and relax, opening acts Marla Morris, Nicole Frechette, and Arizona Maid Band begin performing at 1 p.m. Travis Tritt goes on stage by 4 p.m.

Riders, as well, have a chance to win a number of prizes: a $1,000 TSI Harley-Davidson gift card, motorcycle gear, other gift certificates, memorabilia, and more items.

If you plan to just attend the concert, participants must go to Sun Valley, which opens its doors at 11 p.m. Tickets for the lunch and concert are $50 for a single rider and $80 for a couple before the event, at $55 per person and $90 per couple the day of the show.

Please join us to not only spend a day riding through the beautiful landscape of Connecticut but to further help children from Connecticut and New England attend the Channel 3 Kids Camp’s year-round programs.
