Our Firm loves animals of all kinds, and has a special fondness for dogs. Our mascot is a German Shepherd Fidelco dog named “Taj,” who spends many of his days sharing our offices with us. We are proud to announce that his owner, Atty. Keith Trantolo, has been invited to be a member of the Board of Directors of Ruff Start Happy Tails, Inc.
Ruff Start Happy Tails is a Connecticut-based nonprofit dog rescue organization. Over the course of three years, they have worked endlessly saving dogs in a variety of roles from situations in which dogs were picked up as strays, abandoned, or set for euthanasia.
Like all of us here at Trantolo & Trantolo, Ruff Start Happy Tails believes that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. The organization’s purpose is to rescue dogs and to provide care for orphaned, stray, and abused dogs. Through rehabilitation, socialization and adoption, they strive to provide a humane service to all dogs that come into their rescue. This group also provides awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay and neuter programs and their important effect on the dog overpopulation crisis.
Ruff Start Happy Tails is dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless animals, many of whom are rescued at the very last moment from euthanasia at shelters. They provide a safe haven to all dogs who find their way to them through a variety of circumstances.
Ruff Start Happy Tails does not have a shelter and relies solely on a network of foster homes and volunteers. They receive no public funding and count on the generosity of others to help defray their costs, which include vet bills and other medical expenses
