Attorney Mike Snellings graduated from Old Dominion University in 2010 and Delaware Law School – Widener University in 2014. He began his legal career at a well-respected personal injury firm serving southeastern Virginia, where he developed a reputation for skillfully navigating complex cases to achieve favorable results for clients in their times of need.

Attorney Snellings believes effective advocacy starts with collaboration, and feels that keeping clients informed is remarkably important. With clients feeling heard, informed, and empowered through the process, Mike is able to consistently deliver results while maintaining trust and transparency. Recognizing that no two cases are the same, he tailors strategies to each client’s unique circumstances, which helps him to achieve the best result possible while fostering wonderful relationships with his clients that last beyond the lifetime of their case.

Notable Case Result

One case result that Mike noted will always stick out in his mind is the unfortunate case of a young motorcyclist who was killed in an accident. Multiple firms had declined the case after the investigating police department concluded the motorcyclist was at fault for allegedly traveling at excessive speed. Attorney Snellings took on the case and identified inconsistencies in the report, located surveillance footage capturing the collision and pressed the insurer to tender the full amount of insurance coverage available. The amount (while significant) was not what was important to this family; they felt a sense of vindication on behalf of their deceased loved one.

Legal Distinctions

Attorney Snellings has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2020, an honor limited to less than 2.5 percent of practicing attorneys in each state. He has also been included on the Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list since 2024 and named a “New Leader In the Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune in 2022.

Attorney Snellings is admitted to practice in Virginia, Connecticut and before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Outside the Office

Attorney Snellings enjoys time with his wife, Kristin, their son, Charlie, and their two golden retrievers, Frankie and Winnie. As a former avid golfer, he still likes to walk the fairways when family time allows.

I can tell you that as a personal injury lawyer, there is no better feeling than seeing the gratitude in a client’s eyes at the end of his case. Knowing that I am doing my small part to help someone whose life has been altered in such a sudden and unexpected way keeps me motivated to work tirelessly for my clients.
