September 20, 2007. A truck hauling industrial sludge spilled its load on a Florida highway. The driver was arrested after the truck accident and was charged with leaving the scene of a crash. Five vehicles were damaged while trying to avoid the spilled sludge.

September 07, 2007. Three lawsuits have been filed against the owner and driver of a tractor-trailer that was involved in an accident with a minivan, killing two children. The lawsuits allege that the truck was overweight and had defective brakes and worn out tires at the time of the accident.

August 21, 2007. A lawsuit filed after a fatal truck accident was settled for $5.5 million. The family of the man who died in the accident will receive $1 million, while the man who was seriously injured to the extent he would require 24-hour care for the rest of his life, will receive $4 million.

August 17, 2007. The family of a woman who was killed in an accident with a tractor trailer has reached a settlement with the trucking company involved in the accident. The company will pay $5.7 million to the victim's family members.

August 9, 2007. The family of a boy who was run over and killed by a dump truck filed a lawsuit against the company that owned the truck. The plaintiffs alleged that the dump truck driver was driving illegally because he did not have a valid commercial driver's license.

August 8, 2007. The father of a man killed in an accident with a tractor trailer truck has filed a lawsuit against the truck driver and the trucking company involved in the crash. The suit seeks $3 million in compensatory damages and $1 million in punitive damages.

August 1, 2007. A lawsuit has been filed after a truck accident left one man dead. The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages and medical, funeral and burial expenses.

July 16, 2007. The family of a man killed in a truck accident with a tractor trailer truck that belonged to a beer distributor has filed a lawsuit against the distributor. The suit alleges the man died when the driver of the tractor trailer failed to stop at a stop sign.

July 3, 2007. The family of a woman who died after she was hit by a bakery truck has filed a $30 million lawsuit against the driver of the truck that hit her. The driver also faces criminal charges in the case.

June 6, 2007. The family of a woman who died after she was hit by a city-owned trash truck will receive $2.5 million from the city of Los Angeles.

June 2, 2007. The family of a woman who was killed after the car she was riding in was hit by a semi- truck has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the truck driver’s employer and the owner of the tractor trailer. The suit claims that the employer should have known that the driver had received numerous citations and traffic violation points in the past.
